At Wychling Church we strive to adopt a 'living lightly' policy.
We are committed to reducing our carbon emissions (which are already negligible) and to offset what we do produce, enabling us to be carbon neutral and we are working to become a Negative Carbon church which is not just sustainable, but 'Restorative'
We use recycled paper for our notices and service sheets and environmentally friendly products for cleaning.
All our tea and coffee etc., is Fairtrade and we foster an ethic of simplicity and care for Gods Earth.
Our churchyard is maintained for wildlife and wildflowers under the Gods Acre Project, whilst allowing access to the graves that are still tended.
We have annual surveys for Bats, Moths and Butterflies which are entered on a central record as well as monitoring the wild flowers that are growing.
We would ask that everyone would take time to consider their own impact on the resources that God has given us and work towards Living Lightly on His Earth.
